The day was successful, beginning with the debut of Regalridge Penaire Bronco Bill (Ch Regalridge Leader of the Pack x Ch Penaire’s Lonestar Cowgirl) who went Best In Sweepstakes under Mrs. Patricia Lanctot. Billy is owned by Ken Curren, Bill Clarke, Lee Steeves and Joan Clarke and had a whale of a time in the ring! To say he is delighted with the concept of a Wheaten behind him is an understatement! Billy went Best of Winners in the Regular Show. In the Regular Classes, the handsome Ch Penaire’s Commodore was expertly handled by Joan Clarke and not only won the Breed but also went on late in the day to win a highly competitive Specialty Show. Sailor’s breeding is identical to Billy’s but from an earlier litter (see why we repeated it?!) Sailor is owned by Joan and Bill Clarke and is ranked among America’s top Airedales this year at the very young age of two. He is now able to be shown as BISS Am Can Ch Penaire’s Commodore. Best Of Opposite Sex went to Ch Regalridge Hot Toddy (Regalridge’s Harbour Master x Regalridge Raspberry Cordial) owned by Dawn Tufts. Lexi is Dawn’s second Airedale and she has groomed and shown her herself. It is a wonderful accomplishment and one of which Dawn is justifiably proud. I only wish you could have seen her face when she opened the box and saw the beautiful medallion. She is absolutely thrilled. Winners Bitch went to Penaire Regalridge Copper Penny. Penny had finished her Championship with Group placings the previous weekend but stayed in the classes at this Show. She is a sister to Bronco Bill with the same ownership. Best Puppy in breed went to Ashdod Lead On Regalridge. Piper is owned by Ken Curren, Lee Steeves, Jennifer and Judi Foote and is by Ch Regalridge Leader Of The Pack x Ch Ashdod White Rose Faith. Not to be outdone, Lexi’s older housemate, Ch Regalridge Dealer’s Choice (Ch Regalridge Leader Of The Pack x Ch Regalridge Winning Hand) garnered a Group 2 in a highly competitive altered group. We will all display our medallions proudly and want, once again, to thank the National Club for its support.
